Salem, MA is the ultimate girls trip and you should book a photoshoot.

  1. The town of Salem, MA is the ultimate place to spend a few days and enjoy yourself. You may have heard of the Salem witch trials, an unfortunate persecution of people believed to be witches within the Puritan English colonies that populated the area in the 17th century. Today, Salem not only has embraced Pagan, LGBTQIA+, and female leadership, but it has many progressive wicca community events. Check out this city guide by UnearthWomen.

  2. There are a wide variety of culinary experiences to have in Salem, from comfortable and fun Dire Wolf Tavern and their basement dive bar, to Kakawa Chocolate House, where you can try small batch chili hot chocolate.

  3. Peabody Essex Museum - I visit the PEM whenever I get the chance because of their beautiful collection of maritime furniture, art, and ship hull figures, but also because of their always updating exhibitions on cultural and artistic themes relevant to today’s world. They are pioneers in museum curation.

  4. There are top notch hotels in Salem, MA. From the haunted Hawthorn Hotel to plentiful Airbnbs that cater to every kind of group.

  5. Sure cell phone pictures of a friends’ trip are fun to look back on, but diving head first into modeling, beautiful costume coordination and an adventure in a forest at dusk is a bonding experience that you will never forget. These women below booked with me and it is a goal of mine to do more spooky witchy photoshoots.

Gabriela Berinstein

I'm Gaby, a Newburyporter and business owner. I have been in love with photography since age twelve when my father, Martin Berinstein, a well-known photographer in the Boston arts community, took me on a trip to ME in the dead of winter to shoot on a classic Nikon F1, the original workhorse.

I returned to this passion after doing the corporate career path for a number of years in Washington D.C. I wanted to have my own business and meet new people every day. I dipped a toe in, creating a Thumbtack profile, and had the best time connecting and posing these clients. They were also so grateful because they wouldn't have had any shots of their special moments if I hadn't shown up for them. It was a no-brainer - a new path lay before me.

Today, I have worked with over 400 families and businesses. I draw on experience assisting Headshots Photography under Joanne Smith. Clients are super happy when they can relax and leave the cat-hearding up to me!
